Peter Eastgate Wins 2008 WSOP Main Event

After a long four month wait the final table of the 2008 WSOP finally played out.  As many predicted the heads up match came down to two of the most aggressive players, Peter Eastgate and Ivan Demidov.  Eastgate, from Denmark also becomes the youngest poker player in history to win a Main Event, breaking Phil Hellmuth's record.

Eastgate had several key pots that turned the tide his way.  He railed Scott Montgomery, Ylon Schwartz, and eventually Ivan Demidov to win the coveted Main Event WSOP bracelet.  During the heads up match, Eastgate found himself flopping lot's of big hands against an aggressive Russian opponent.  The heads up match lasted almost 5 hours with a break but Eastgate finally felted Demidov by holding a wheel (A-5 straight) while Demidov called all in with two pair, dueces and fours.
